Seven days on the Apennines

In the spring of 2020, we created this itinerary inspired by the deep need to return to walking in the open air.

By joining this trek, a journey suspended between Tuscany and Emilia, you’ll have the chance to bring your own tent, mattress, and sleeping bag (or use one of the tents we’ll provide). We’ll take care of transporting your luggage and gear from one stop to the next, so you can walk freely, accompanied by a guide, carrying only the essentials in your backpack (we recommend a 25–30 litre pack).

The route we propose follows only part of the classic Grande Escursione Appenninica, weaving together lesser-known paths and captivating villages. We’ll begin and end our adventure in Garfagnana: starting from the charming hilltop village of Sillico and finishing in the quiet hamlet of Roggio, nestled at the foot of Mount Tambura.

Along the way, the itinerary connects medieval villages, ancient mule tracks, ancestral transhumance routes, and scenic ridge paths across the Apennines — for a truly enriching and unforgettable outdoor experience.
