Founded by Dominican friars in 1221, this Renaissance gem is far more than just a shop; it is a monumental museum steeped in history, art, and botanical secrets.
During the tour, we will admire the lavish Sala Verde (Green Room), the Old Apothecary Room, and the frescoed Sacristy, discovering how the friars' ancient recipes have been preserved to this day. We will also uncover the special bond between the Officina and Catherine de' Medici, for whom the famous 'Acqua della Regina' (Queen's Water) was created—a fragrance still produced today according to tradition.
