From Poppi to the bike paths along the Archiano and Arno rivers

Tours

The best of Casentino in one loop: castles, hermitages and rivers

by De Gustibus Tours di Tommaso Ciabini

From Poppi to Camaldoli, cycling through the heart of the Casentino: you’ll discover Moggiona, the ancient village of the bigonciai (tannery workers) now known as the “village of the wolf,” before immersing yourself in the solemnity of the forest surrounding the Hermitage of Camaldoli.

After breathing in the pure mountain air, a refreshing descent into the valley awaits you, where you’ll cycle in total relaxation along the bike paths of the Archiano and Arno rivers.

A circular journey that combines the austerities of the mountains with the gentle beauty of the Tuscan countryside, perfect for discovering the Casentino between nature and spirituality.
