AGRITURISMO LA TORRETTA

Agriturismo La Torretta is a small, family-run organic farm set in the Sienese countryside, just 2.5 km (1.6 miles) as the crow flies from Siena’s historic centre.

It enjoys a panoramic position on a hill facing the city, offering views of Siena’s skyline, with the Torre del Mangia and the bell tower of Siena Cathedral clearly visible. On the opposite side, the view stretches as far as Monte Amiata, 50 km (31 miles) away, while all around the landscape alternates between fields, woodland, olive groves and vineyards.

Siena’s historic centre is within easy reach, just an eight-minute drive away. La Torretta is also an excellent base from which to explore the Sienese area and visit Chianti, the Crete Senesi, the Montagnola Senese and other Tuscan destinations, such as Florence and Volterra. At the end of the day, guests can return to the peace of the countryside and relax in the swimming pool with panoramic views.

Accommodation is provided in historic rural buildings that grew around the original core of a small watchtower. The interiors are furnished in a simple rustic style that respects the buildings’ original architectural features. Rooms and apartments suitable for families and groups of four to eight people are available; every room has a private bathroom with a shower.

Facilities include a seasonal swimming pool with panoramic views, private parking, Wi-Fi in the communal areas and outdoor spaces extending from the garden to our cultivated land, which includes an olive grove, a vineyard and a small orchard. Breakfast offers sweet and savoury choices, local specialities and homemade cakes.
